For the second book in a row, it’s the ending that lets the wind out of my sails a bit. I am a little surprised that in an erotic thriller, it is the romantic sex scenes that leave me a little cold. Our hero is a killer — that much is true. That she has ended the last two books saying love will cure her is not only false, but it is also a ludicrous disservice to the character. Love is great, but it isn’t going to “fix” her.

Complaints aside, I really enjoy the main story of this book. This is a fun character, and I am enjoying her dark adventures. There is satisfaction to be had as she dispatches her foe. This is another taut thriller filled with white knuckle intensity. I think this book is definitely at its best when basking in darkness. Both our hero and our villain are fascinating characters, our bad guy being a great representation of evil. But even he is no match for our hero… and we knew that prior to their inevitable conclusion. Deanna’s just built different.

I will take a break before diving into book three, but I know it is out there and I am ready for it.

I enjoyed the second book even more than the first book. I’m obsessed with Deanna. She’s obviously not a good person yet I’m still rooting for her. I did not want to put this book down. Excited but nervous for the next book because I do not want this series to end

can I just?
wow. A ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS.

“Death. It is a strange stalker, one that we spend our whole lives running from, some more successful than others.”

Do Not Disturb is the squeal to The Girl In 6E . The first book being an erotic thriller about a girl who doesn't leave her apartment for many reasons. In this second installment, we follow Deanne and her struggles with homicidal tendencies, romance, and clients.

I flew through this book in a few hours and what an addictive book this was. I had not read a novel in one sitting which feels like a while now. I could not put this book down. It has a good mix of thriller aspects, romance, and mystery. I really do like our characters. I care about our main character and what happens to her. Mike, I have a lot of empathy for in particular. Jeremy and his relationship with the main character is a little bit on the fast moving side but It's still enjoyable to read.

Some complaints I did have with this book were that it followed the same story ark as the first novel.. It made the novel quite predictive at times. It had the usual -client sessions-don't leave the apartment-lets think about romance-client is suspicious-something happens with suspicious client-drama in-soothes-.

I really did enjoy this book though. It was perfect for my reading slump and something so interesting and thrilling. Will be picking up the third installment when I can get my hands on it.

“Star light. Star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, wish I might. Not kill those whom my heart holds tight.”

Great book, great follow on, love or hate her Deanna kicks ass big time!
traumatic past life leaking into life now, she's Def got attitude!

I am honestly confused about why so many people throw five-star reviews for this book very easily. Like, WHY??? But well, each to their taste, huh.

My main problem with Do Not Disturb, as well as the previous book [b:The Girl in 6E|20640318|The Girl in 6E (Deanna Madden, #1)|A.R. Torre|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1601135938l/20640318._SY75_.jpg|22213300] is that Torre LOVES to over-explain things she already overexplained in several chapter before. It's like she thinks her reader will have amnesia or something so she needs to re-explain things at length AGAIN and AGAIN. So many details on unnecessary things and yet when the story climaxes, the readers do not get enough payoff.

However, the present tense used and the sentences in her narrative are easy to follow. I can see this kind of stories getting popular on Wattpad or AO3, but as a book... it is quite lacking. The only reason I'm still reading this nonsense of Deanna Madden series is because I already purchases the whole trilogy and I'm just seeing the end of my purchase.

I love this series. It’s weird and twisted but I adore it. It always makes me laugh and makes me think and always makes me want to read more.

I loved the first in this series but this book was too slow for my liking. Read my full review at www.booklovinalicia.blogspot.com
