Komugi and her fiance have moved in with his family while they plan and settle things, and then suddenly he's called away overseas on business. Which leaves Komugi with her fiance's family, not knowing them too well at this point.
Komugi is trying hard to help and fit in and get along with everyone. But she's clearly the odd one out. And also, she used to be a delinquent, and now she sneaks out of the house at night to meet up with her girl friends, and of course she can't tell her fiance's family any of this, because they wouldn't approve.
I was honestly very interested in this series, originally. I don't really understand why she would be living with her fiance's family, but maybe that's an American thing for that to seem weird; especially once he's gone for who-knows-how-long. But once it was obvious that Dai, her fiance's brother, likes her, I lost some interest. I'm still intrigued by Komugi's character and her challenges regarding her delinquent past, but I'm not interested in that whole unrequited soon-to-be brother-in-law drama. I don't think that's necessary.
I believe this is a short series, so I might try more. I'm not sure at this point.

pretty much what you get on the tin - budding bride-to-be komugi tries to keep her delinquent ways a secret from her future in-laws, only to be discovered and then helped by her fiance's younger brother, tohru. both the art style and plot make it feel like smth straight out of the 2000s shoujo scene. i checked and was surprised to see this was published in 2016; it's reminiscent of stuff like [b: switch girl!!|6404506|Switch Girl!!, Tome 1|Natsumi Aida|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1255598667l/6404506._SY75_.jpg|6593368] and [b: maid-sama!|6081685|Maid-sama! 'The Delinquent Housewife!' by Yoko Nemu is a cute manga about a woman and her brother-in-law connecting over a shared secret. It's relatively light and quick to read. I'm interested to see if the story progresses or stays one note in future volumes.

I love a reformed delinquent story. The plot to get the husband out of the story for a while is needless complex and baffling though which kinda threw off my enjoyment.

I initially picked this book up because it reminded me of Way of the Househusband and I am glad that it has a similar sense of humor, but idk if I will continue it after digging into the story a bit (spoilers don't really bother me). So hopefully if I come across another volume I'll probably pick it up someday.
