Oh my god, this was the longest book I've ever read at the time of writing. It took a while to finish. I truly enjoyed this book. I love that even though the Dursleys abuse Harry, he has found a family in Hogwarts. This was action-packed and I loved that. People around him truly cared about him. Oh, I loathe Professor Umbridge! Lol. She was evil, to say the least. Good thing, she was out of Hogwarts. But, oh Sirius Black died😭 Harry was devastated that his godfather passed😭 Also, I liked that Harry grows in every book, I mean, not all good changes because he is flawed, but for a teenager, I say it's progress. Btw, Hagrid was so sweet to take his half-brother home. It's so cute that he called Hermoine, Hermy😂 Oh well, loved this❀ P. S. The press was so cruel toward Harry, he's just a kid for goodness sake. It made me so sad and mad at the same time.🙄

5 stars for Sirius.

I knew what was awaiting me in this book - but that doesn’t mean that reading about it happening hurt me any less (we are not going to discuss the tears that were shed during the mirror scene đŸ„Č).

OOTP surprised me! Once I started this book and realized that I had reached the point in the series where the characters began to “hunker down” for safety (so to speak) I was a bit worried that I would get bored & wouldn’t enjoy this story as much as I had hoped - but that didn’t end up being the case! I actually found myself wishing for more Grimmauld Place scenes and moments!

Umbridge is still as heinous as I remember. I still think that she should’ve been left with the centaurs to be honestâ€ŠđŸ«

The majority of the book was enjoyable to read. There are a few grammatical errors scattered throughout the novel. Some of the paragraphs were confusing and required re-reading a few times to understand JKs intentions. I liked how the book focused on a lot of smaller details about magical objects and relationships between characters.

As books for teens/young adults go, I wouldn't say this is the best series, but if you're a fan of the movies, I'd absolutely recommend reading the books
