This is only interesting if one has read at least parts of the series.

Reapers and Bastards is an anthology of four novellas written from both series. "Charming Bastard" is the story of how Darcy and Boonie got together. As next door neighbors, the two children played together, but by the time Boonie was in high school, he wanted more from eighth grade, Darcy, than she was ready to give, but he did give her first kiss. Later things became more complicated when she ended up marrying Farell when Boonie left town to join the marines.
In "Sticky Sweet," we learn that Marie and Horse met when the club paid a visit to Marie's brother to collect a debt.
In "Skunked" Horse's dog has been sprayed by a skunk, leading to a hilarious effort trying to clean up the pup, while at the same time, finding out something life-changing from Marie.
Finally, in "Sugar and Spice," Melanie stays with London and Reece after London's house blows up and Melanie thinks she is responsible. When she meets Painter, she is immediately attracted.
This is a good anthology, but like any other novella, these stories were just long enough to catch my interest, but not long enough to tell an entire story. Most of them were short stories leading into or out of another book. Well written, entertaining, but just not long enough.

This anthology overall gets a 3☆ rating, but each of the four stories will get an individual ☆ rating and review.

First Charming Bastard with a 3.5☆ rating. An intresting insight into how Boonie and Darcy got together. Not my favorite, but it had cute moments, and Boonie seem to respect Darcy independence as an adult.

Second Sticky Sweet with a 2☆ rating. The novel from Marie perspective was enjoyable and I could forgive certain behavior, because Marie was more confortable with it. That same behavior from Horse perspective and mindset is just annoying and disrespectful. In no way endear me to him either, just makes him an ass.

Third Skunked with a 3☆ rating. A cute novella, but the believe and expectation of cheating knocked it down a ☆ rating. I will say this is the Horse and Marie relationship I love reading about.

Fourth and final Sugar and Spice with a 4☆ rating. The really cute, sweet, and alittle sexy story with a touch of edgeI like to read. Overall a great taste and reminder of there story I liked.

These little tidbits were well done and only enhanced what we already love about all the men and ladies of Reapers & Bastards MC clubs! Skunked was my favorite!
