I’m usually a serious or disturbing book girlie and was unsure when I picked up a summer looking romance. I’m so so glad I read this. This book made me feel so many things. It’s funny, it’s human, it’s exciting, it’s complex. I adore it.

“A good bookstore,” Charlie says, “is like an airport where you don’t have to take your shoes off.”

When I say I'm surprised by this book, I'm freaking SURPRISED.

I absolutely hated People We Meet on Vacation with a burning passion. I freaking LOVED Beach Read, so I was either going to go one way or the other for this one, right? But I fell toward the love side instead of hate, and no one's more surprised than me.

At first, I thought this was boring. The prologue with the first meet was nice, but then it became not only a romcom, but a close sister thing, so I thought it was meant for another type of reader. I'm here for the ANGST, the DRAMA, the SEXUAL CHEMISTRY. And then the book interrupted the sister bond thing with all those things, and I was hooked.

Was the sisterly bonding cute? Yes. Did I want to know what Libby was hiding? Yes. Did I think Nora was overbearing and needed to think about herself for once and not her sister? Double yes. But did I want to continue reading close sister bonding moments? Not really. It was well done, no hate for this at all. Just not my cup of tea. It was given a HEA at the end for each individual tho, so that was sweet.

Charlie. Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. Give me someone like him any day and I'll fall in love in an instant! He was perfection. Brooding, kind, sarcastic, grudgingly helpful, caring, and his hands were lovely, too. His dialogue was stunning, as well. Some of his one-liners I felt so deep in my heart and in my belly.
