I find the fantasy that Anna Maria della Pieta was a better composer than Vivaldi an insult to me as a reader-- and a it overshadows Anna Marie extrordinary accomplishment as a instrumentslist in that era when women were chattel
Because of misogeny then we might not know if she were a composer. On the other hand there is apparently no evidence that she composed. As a feminist I resent this ploy to sell books. Reminds me of Hamnet with lead female character who spoke as though she time travel from the present and was implausible for that time.
