I don’t understand the hate for this book. I loved the characters and did not see the plot twists coming. I recommend this book to all my friends

Yet another "Strong Female Character" who is about to die but sasses everyone and acts like a jerk. Another hulking male character who spends his life raging until the heroine shows up.
We've read this story before, we've met these characters before - the dialogue is straight out of 2023, this is completely forgettable and no one is endearing enough to root for.

DNF… just not for me. Writing was good but the lack of chemistry and no characters I genuinely loved I had to bow out.
Another book that I read a while ago but am only getting to reviewing now. From what I can recall, I remember really enjoying this book. It is a retelling I believe of beauty and the beast, but it really took a unique spin on it. I think I'll definitely have to reread it so I can do a more thorough review, but yeah I think it was good.

The beginning, I will say, I dragged through it. I kept with it (and I’m glad I did) but it was a bit of a struggle.
The end made it worth it, but then I find out this is technically a standalone? With an ending that’s nearly a cliffhanger?

I read that it was a YA novel with no spice and so I DNFed but might come back to it later because of the unique plot!
Slow at some places, but the TWISTS are insane. Couldn't put it down after eighty percent. Solid way to start the year!!

I agree with other reviews, the romance was a little lacking. We didn't spend much time with Kiran so his character development was completely off-page. I liked the world-building and the background of the characters we did spend time with.
