This book was so so good!! A Word So Fitly Spoken was my introduction to T. A. Lawrence and it did not disappoint. I absolutely adored Asha as a FMC and her heart and convictions. Kiran grew on me and I was so glad the things said about him were false. All of the twists and turns in the book had me in the edge of my seat, and I loved the magic system. I can’t wait to continue the series!

Like WOW. I still can't believe I finished it, because I WANT MORE! The plot twists and me gripping my sheets and biting my hand off. The way it made me scream and squeal.

And Kiran? MAN COULD FART TOXIC WASTE AND I'D STILL BREATHE IT IN HAPPILY. The way he made me fall in love with him.

The author did a great job of world building and character development.

Really enjoyed this read. I'd been wanting to read it for quite some time now and kept seeing it on my Instagram. Finally got it on KindleU and was not disappointed. The beginning was a little slow but picked up quickly. So many twists and turns I did not expect. I loved that it kept me guessing where normally it's pretty easy to guess what's going to happen.

There was just so much going on….and I didn’t like the sub story about farin that much

Great, imaginative, expansive world. Immediately engaging characters and well built relationships. It is extremely long and I did struggle to pick it back up a few times. Especially in the back half. The romantic relationship dealt with some complex issues and feelings but was weirdly underdeveloped for the length of the book.

Fluffy but engaging

Ugh storygraph is down for maintenance and I'm lost without it I finished A Word so Fitly Spoken on the fourth of July (boo America tomato tomato) anyway ugh I'm so torn because I really never knew how to feel and even now that its over its not really over because the overarching storyline isn't over so my feelings are still jumbled like ok I didn't love that it started with MMC having just killed the wife he loved for attempting to kill him like that was lowkey too dark for me and then it was such a cliché that the MC was in love with her best friend also a cliché that he ended up being evil but there were things I did like honestly I thought Kiran was really sweet to Asha sometimes but like I couldn't forget he killed his last wife and yeah at 70 something percent we found out he didn't kill her he just had her locked up and threw away the key which honestly wasn't much better? Like less brutal for sure but still a very unromantic plot line for a romantasy because he literally threw her away and yes I understand she didn't love him and was plotting to murder him but because it was so recent it felt like Asha was on a tightrope because I honestly wasn't sure how far his loyalty stretched even at the very end when she had to tell him she had also plotted to kill him I wasn't entirely sure how he would take it like Asha assumed there'd be consequences and so did I which made me a little sad I like having faith in fictional characters probably because I don't have much faith in real people so that was a big negative but I did love Lydia she was a star and I never questioned her I'm very excited to pick up her novela but I'm uncertain about reading the rest of this series hell I'm not even sure how I'd rate this book right now if storygraph wasn't down but maybe by the time it's back up I'll have some clarity

It's back up I have found no clarity rating to come eventually maybe or potentially never
