It's a no from me. I couldn't get into it. I don't know why Coyote sounds like she's from the Wild West circa 1885 or why we aren't talking more about how a man who isolates his daughter and forces them both to go by different names with no fixed location is child abuse in the real world.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I put off reading it because I thought from the cover art that it was going to be too sweet. It was sweet but it was also sad and funny. There were some parts that really didn't work for me but on the whole it was a really good read. Would recommend this to fans of Kate DiCamillo.

This was such a wonderful story! I think people forget it’s a story and take it a little too seriously. One thing I will say, if you are going to name the ethnicity of one person, you need to say everyone’s. I don’t think White should be automatic every time I read a book and the first Black character comes in and they say the “Black guy” or whatever. This is not just this book, but I feel the need to speak about it. Either describe everyone that way, or don’t. It is distracting. Anyway! I LOVE Coyote! She has to grow up fast unfortunately, but she is such a beautiful person and the adventure is great! I’m glad the book is diverse. There are more people in the world and they should be written about. Anyway, I recommend and hope to see this movie one day if there isn’t one already!

Heartwarming middle grade novel with wonderful characters. This book was about grief, family, friendship, adventure and some fun animals too! This was wonderful on audio and would be a great road trip listen as Coyote and Rodeo (her father) are also on a road trip. Would create great discussions with a middle grade reader as well. I am excited to read Coyote Lost and Found next!

This gives me serious Walk Two Moons vibes, and I really loved it.
