i was not expecting to enjoy this so much it was just supposed to be a palate cleanser but it took me by surprise. i do wish there was more character development and i guess relationship development but it was a really fun read and i breezed through the pages.

i will say it was more rivals to lovers than enemies to lovers and even then it’s pushing it - they didn’t seem to dislike each other that much outside of their competitiveness they just bickered constantly (which i always love). until the third act they even seemed like they generally trusted each other but it’s set in a small town so it makes sense.
