3.5 rounded up. Just not quite as awesome as the first novel.

The beginning flew by very quickly but the middle dragged ALOT but the ending was pretty good so I give NPH props for that.
(This is probably and unpopular opinion)

Another great installment in the Magic Misfit series.

I love that each book introduces us to someone else from the Emerald Ring. Eventually, we will find out the whole story as to why they broke up. Maybe that story will help keep the Magic Misfits from following the same fate.

Another easy and enjoyable read. I feel like this book had a slower start than the first one but picked up nicely about halfway through. Enjoyable for a kid or a kid at heart.

This installment of the series focuses on Leila Vernon. We learn more of her past and her Dad's past. Just as fun, just as fresh as the first one, I did guess the twist before the end (but I'm not the target audience!). This is a great middle grade book with lots of high jinks, adventure, and heart! Highly recommended!
