Really enjoyed (although Marius' recollections felt lile a slog). Very much in conversation with Interview and I feel they are best read together.

Veren Vangit -kirjan jatko-osa, Vampyyri Lestat ylitti kaikki odotukseni. Seikkailua täynnä pursuava, mutta filosofinen, tumma ja hauska tarina tempaisi mukaansa.

I adored the final third of this book the most. Sassy Lestat, brooding Armand, elusive and seductive Marius. The mysterious Akasha.
Contemplative and romantic, I enjoyed being inside Lestat's Savage Garden mind.

On the edge of my seat through it all.
Lestat and his spirit is so wild to read, Nicki was so heartbreaking and relatable at the same time, Gabrielle is gourgeous and can step on me anytime, Armand my baby they can never make me hate you, Real Louis is refreshing to read, and Marius... well.
I almost went with 4 stars, because I hated the Marius part with a passion and forced myself through it. Dull, dull, dull pages dull chapters dull as f&ck. It reeked of narcissism and not even the fun kind.
Great read even if you're not into vampires and Gothic romance.

My favorite read in recent years. A major step up from the first book of the series in basically every regard. Like it’s genuinely impressive how much better TVL is than IWTV. Lestat is a deeply complex character whose gone through so much but it doesn’t make the book seem rushed or overpacked. If he wasn’t so weird with his mom it would be a five star, easy. Also, I need Armand to die
Tbh if Marius de Underage Boy Lover didn’t insert his own exposition in, I would’ve given it 5 stars. I just can’t stand that old man.
