I am obsessed. Cannot recommend highly enough. And the art is absolutely stunning.
Inciting incident: A bunch of people get invited to a lake house for a summer trip by their friend Walter, and while there are alerted of a apocalyptic event, and find out they are safe but trapped in this little lakeside paradise.
A situation they all handle a bit differently.
Read in physical form from Sac library. Could definitely see buying this to own, it’s excellent and gorgeous. Also on Hoopla digitally it looks like.

A quick read of the collection of comics related to this concept of a house where people have been chosen by a weird entity named Walter to live while he and his alien family destroy the world. I've been creeped out by the concept since I read it - perfect for October spooky season, yet the apocalyptic feel might be too much for me to handle because of our current reality off the page. And yet... I might have to get my hands on Vol 2! I need to know what happens to these characters.
