This would make an amazing tv series or movie. The suspense, atmosphere, and pacing are all top notch. There's just enough horror to be compelling without going over the top. The characters are believable and well written.

I may be a little five stars happy this year, but this one earned it! This may just be my favorite graphic novel series of all time. At least the first six issues having me feeling that way.
The Nice House on the Lake is a closed door horror graphic novel and features my favorite horror/thriller trope of a close friend group solving a mystery.
A collection of issues 1-6 comes out next month which is the best way to read the first half of the story! We'll hopefully the get conclusion later this year.

This plot grabbed me from the beginning. The artwork fits the storyline and the overall vibe. The intertwining of the characters past and present lives is a great addition. I was able to put this comic down though for a while and not feel like I needed to pick it back up and find out what happened! I’m hoping that volume two keeps my interest a little more!

What a story! I absolutely was hooked from the start as each character is introduced. We meet a group of folks who are invited to stay a week at a house by a lake by their long time friend Walter. As their stay progresses they learn that Walter's motives were not at all what he'd expressed in his emails and texts. Each person now has to cope with the consequences of what is happening, both physical and mental.
Loved the art, it was really striking at times and also gave me a sense of the claustrophobia that the characters would be feeling in the house. If you like a good horror/sci-fi story, definitely check this out.
