Similar to Tynion's The Department of Truth, Vol 1: The End of the World, I feel like we don't necessarily learn a lot about what's going on upfront, but I still enjoy the atmospheric setting. I really hope this goes more into how each person was chosen, especially in relation to their character archetypes.

The first few pages went on forever: way too much dialog to say way too little. They were also opressively orange in a way the rest of the comic was not. Almost put me off completely.
The plot turns out to have some depth but it honestly takes too long winding up to it. That and it took too long to learn who was who: the long haired women are hard to tell apart and two of the men are indistinguishable in half the shots. A decent comic, but it doesn't match the vibes on the cover.

OH WOW! One of the books on my TBR, I wasn't really in the mood for my Kindle, but this one just yelled that I needed to read it, so here we are! This was a strange, wonderful, weird, sometimes disgusting, scary and mysterious read and while at times there was just a bit too much dialogue, I did have a lot of fun with this one and I need to read on because I need to know more. I love that we got some backstory on Walter and who/what he is. On how each one of these characters met him and how they got to this point. With pretty fab art including some amazing variant covers that I just LOVE.

This has completely altered what a graphic novel reading experience can be for me. This reads like a movie or TV show. The art is incredible. I just kept wanting more.
