I def picked it up expecting a stand alone (it's not) but it is... engrossing, weird, unnerving and maybe entirely too much 'im these unprecedented times'
Will still be keeping my eye out for the next collection

There are a lot of reviews here slagging the pacing of this first volume. I think it’s perfect and wouldn’t change a thing! You need the slow burn to build up the tension amongst the protagonists and the situation in which they find themselves. I love it. Can’t wait to start volume 2!
Engaging read, fascinating story, and excellent art. Can’t wait to find out more.
I'm intrigued by the story. Don't really like this type of art style.
More sci-fi than horror, in my opinion.

A diverse group of characters lead this weird apocalyptic tale. Lots of questions and strange events are found throughout the story. Hopefully to be answered in Volume 2.
I wasn’t awed by the illustrations, it was kind of a boring palette of colours and I feel like there could’ve been a greater use of the natural surroundings to enhance the scenes (lake, forest, etc).
The amount of people was a lot to follow and try to understand. Despite getting some history on their connections to each other and Walter, they still feel very shallow and static. I didn’t really know any of them by the end of the book.
This has a fascinating premise though, so I’ll dive into the series and give the next book a chance as well.

I really enjoyed this dark comic! Nora was my absolute favourite character!
Interesting concept but I feel like it was dragged out for too many issues. I didn't really care about each character's individual back story. I wanted to know more about Walter and why he was doing all this stuff. The provided explanation in this volume seemed kind of like a lame cop out.
Sometimes the art was hard to read, it all blended together. There were several male characters who all look the same. The women were only identifiable by their hair cut.
This could have easily been a one-off. Reminded me of The Invitation or Lost.
