I feel like I need therapy after finishing this series, this author always messes me up. So why do I come back? Might be, I’m a masochist though I’ve never liked pain........I’m so confused, heartbroken, my mind is melting, guess I’ll stop there coz my point is made.
I need a drink or a truly angst-free, sweet, humorous read to cleanse my soul, this was too much.
Also, who’s that on the cover? Auden, I suppose......that means we never get to see Father Hess, not fair, I feel like he was dealt a bad hand and now no cover for him either

I was not prepared for Door of Bruises. This book was so much more than I expected and from the moment I started I was completely sucked back into Thornchapel and all its mysteries.

Door of Bruises took me on an emotional journey. It backs up where things have left in Harvest of Sighs and the group is broken up. It is hard to review this book without giving away so many details. If you haven’t read any of the series I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading it and if you have read it then this book will slowly wrap everything up. It is full of suspense, mystery, rituals and all the steaminess that was in previous books.

The writing of this story is truly beautiful and magical. There is so much to love about this story and I know that it is one that I will reread from start to finish to experience it all over again.

If you’re looking to be transported to a world of mystery, ancient rituals and plenty of heat the Thornchapel series is a MUST READ.

what a journey with this series

“Are you saying going through a magic door is a lateral move for us?” I love all of them

This final volume was fantastic. It was everything I hoped for and more. I’m not sure what my friend Jan will have to say about some of the plot twists (can’t wait to read her thoughts, though!), but personally, I loved the supernatural turn this series took in book 3 (and in book 2, if you looked closely enough
