There's not a whole lot I can say about this considering it's the fourth and final book in the Thornchapel series, but what I can say is that I don't know anyone but Ms. Simone who can explore religion, kink, and the bisection of both in a more poetic and lyrical manner as she. The characters she has created in this series are flawed, broken and messy. There's no other way around it, but with that mess comes so much. Just so much. Hurt, healing, Relationships of all manner and means. But I adored this journey from A Lesson In Thorns to now and I'll cherish the bunch of them for many years to come. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this and all opinions are my own.

me about this entire series: gif from knives out of daniel craig saying it makes no damn sense, it compels me though

I loved the bits of horror she added in and that ending.

4.5 stars.
The final installment in the Thornchapel series.

The following are my thoughts:

- This book had much more Thornchapel intrigue, which I really enjoyed.

- As in keeping with other books, there is definitely some taboo and wowza......some pretty scorching scenes

at this point i don't really now how to talk about Thornchapel in a way that's productive to anyone because i feel too close to it, and too much like i live within this world to do justice trying to capture it in a review.

What I can say is this: these books are the most important books in my life, and this series nourishes, inspires and holds me in a way no others will ever be able to.
