This wasn't for me - the story felt hard to follow like some parts were left out, and others felt pieced together - dunno, honestly could just be me. Take with a grain of salt.

While the story idea and even the writing seemed okay in the beginning, this book read like a first draft or lightly padded outline, which is a shame because it has potential.

I’ll not continue the series.

A fun little look at witchy life and plant care - the beginning of a series that brings together Marigold and Laurel. The characters were well written and the plot was pacy, I'm interested in how the relationships develop.

Read this off a recommendation. Sold as a cozy fantasy set in NZ by an indi author so I was pretty hopeful going in but unfortunately [for me] it was terribly boring
