I thought this was an interesting book. I think the audiobook aspect of it really enhanced the book. I don't know that I would have made it through otherwise. I think I was hoping for more science involved. In that light, my view of the book is probably skewed because of my expectations. Either way, it was interesting that many of the patient privacy/tissue property issues mentioned have really only recently come to the forefront of scientific research.

This was the most boring book. It was written like a person going about their day while researching to write a book about Henrietta Lacks. I highly recommend picking something else.

A lot of the focus in this book was on Henrietta's family, and that made her story incredible real and relevant to today. The author's pursuit of the story comes through as incredibly dedicated and patient.
