What just happened

At first it seemed slow and then somewhere near the half way mark, we fall down the rabbit hole. This one had a couple of twist that I'm still trying to wrap my head around. Oh, and let's not forget the triggers. If you have a problem with child sexual assault by a caretaker, there's a scene a little past 40 percent that's going to be a little problematic. It's not graphic but it may be hard to take. If you have an issue about being abandoned and unacknowledged by a parent, this is going to be a problem. Aside from that, it was a good read. Oops, forgot the mild BDSM.

Just couldn’t warm up to Evan and his possessiveness and inability to put worth in Mia or, as the book paints him, in women at all. How can a character be so clueless and so opinionated and annoying at the same time!?? I didn’t care about his pain because he was so self involved and Mia deserved better. Lol that’s why I kept pausing this book

More than Crave You by Shayla Black but is my first in the More Than You series. So this can be read as a standalone but I would recommend that you read the first three books; I felt a little lost or missing some info because I have not read the first three books.

The blurb is what got my attention, who doesn’t love a good contract marriage/office romance? At first, I didn’t like Evan, it was hard to connect with him; I understand he was going through something I would never wish on anyone but it seemed like that he was giving up on life. But the more I kept reading he started to grow on me. Nia was awesome; I loved her character and all of her sassiness. Evan and Nia together had so much sexual chemistry; it brought smoke to my kindle. All the secondary characters have me wanting to go back and read their stories, which I will be doing. Overall, this book was really good; recommend giving this series a read.

There is something really cute about a guy used to let his head rule him that suddenly can't understand up from down because he's swamped in emotion!
