This book is very good. I plan to continue the series and continue to read books from this author if you want to read this author or the series, I would check your trigger warnings first.

I like both of the characters a lot, but why does Gianna literally just give up on her hopes of not becoming a mafia trophy wife and like accept being "owned" by Matteo

Like this better than the first book.
But I'm still not heavily into any mafia romances.
I have loved Gianna from the first book and I expected a bit more from her. I wanted to see more of how she became independent and maybe wanted her to start her own thing even if she was married to Matteo.

Matteo, Matteo, Matteo. I finally read his story and I don’t know if I love him or I just like him more. Because I definitely can’t hate him. In this book we have Matteo being a nice, protective guy with Gianna and her being a selfish kid. I liked him but I kinda wanted to see more of his bad side cause in the other books he was the reckless one and in this book he’s too careful. I didn’t like how Gianna was too stubborn to accept her feelings, I mean, EVERYONE knew she had feelings for him, even herself. But seeing Matteo being patient with her made me love him more.
Overall I liked this book, Matteo and his cockiness made me laugh everytime. Gianna and her stubborness didn’t go well with me, I really think that Matteo deserved more (lucky for me, Gianna realised that Matteo is too good for her after all). So, for a mob book, this was a little less “mob” and a lot of kids drama, but we can’t expect more from Gianna. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars and all for Matteo, cause I repeat, he’s the best cocky bastard that exists in these series.

I didn’t love their relationship as much as Aria and Luca, but I enjoyed Matteo and Gianna’s story. I definitely enjoy a bad boy falls for one woman stories.

Matteo deserves better. Gianna was so childish. Their relationship was cute at the beginning but then it wasn’t worth it. She left him dying (ok maybe 10 sec but still) and then she accepted Luca’s offer. But then she « lied » to Matteo saying she was trying to save him even before the offer. Like really??
Their love story makes me sad because I don’t think they deserve each other. Matteo should’ve left her go and Gianna shouldn’t have came back.

Doing a reread of the series after so long, and seeing I have no review for this book pains me so here we go:
At a second read, Bound by Hatred kinda makes me mad. I love Matteo and his character, and Gianna really is a B, like Luca says often. I understand she was never one for the life, but she really did act like it was the worst thing. I would have almost expected this behaviour from shy Liliana in the next one. Even though she’s shy, she’s terrified of this life. Gianna is more tough. I don’t blame Matteo for still wanting her; when you want something, you want it. I so felt for him in this book.
Classic enemies-to-lovers romance for sure, but not a favorite in the series.

Finally we got dual povs! I love the sisterhood between Aria and Gianna. The interactions between two couples are adorable, I like this vibe so much!
