I still 100% think that they're only together because of their similar life situations.
Oh and the whole thing with Vaughn and Reece irritates me so much. It doesn't make sense to me that she shows up 2 years later trying to get back with him but then 2 seconds later goes back to hooking up with his supposed best friend??? AND HAS NO QUALMS ABOUT SLEEPING AT HIS HOUSE WITH THE GUY AND WALKING AROUND BASICALLY NAKED IN HIS KITCHEN????

"I hate the fact that her need for space is stronger than her need for me."
"I can tell she wants to hate me right now, but she loves me too much."
"Love is the most beautiful thing in the world. Unfortunately, it's also one of the hardest things in the world to hold on to, and one of the easiest things to throw away."
"Sometimes two people have to fall apart, to realize how much they need to fall back together."

Point of Retreat was a fantastic book, with terrific characters. After finishing the last page I missed them already. Really good, and I definitely recommend it for anyone who has read Slammed. I loved Will as a narrator, and it was great to see Lake from his perspective. For me, the characters were the best part of the book. The plot was solid, unexpected and enthralling. I couldn't put this book down.

Some books should never be continued and Slammed was one of them. It was lovely on its own, while Point of Retreat is a festival of pointless drama. This also reads as fanfiction, it could use some serious editing.

I butterflying hate myself for reading the whole thing in a day.
