What a beautiful ending for the story of Will and Lake - I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a better way to end it.
Despite everything they go through within their relationship, they still manage to make it work and have the most beautiful relationship form.
What makes this story even better for me is the fact that they both ended up caring for their younger siblings, which instantly gives them something in common.
Lake really went through the emotions in this book, even so much as really disliking her own boyfriend after finding out that he was in a class with the ex that she caught him hugging at his house - she didn’t even give Will the chance to properly explain before storming off back to her house across the street.
Will is such a lovely character, I really felt for him at certain points within this book, particularly after the car accident and he has no idea on how Lake is doing afterwards while knowing everyone else is fine. Will really loved Lake and this was shown through a number of ways and it was lovely to read about how far some people will go to try and keep the love of their life after upsetting them in horrible ways. He eventually won Lake back after performing a slam that was dedicated to her and why he loved her so much.
Kel and Caulder are just the most precious boys in this book, being cared for by their siblings who are now taking on the role as parents after losing their parents at a young age.
This book was so so so beautiful and I really enjoyed reading this one. I would absolutely read this again.

Slammed was quite a bit better, but this was a solid follow up.
Layken and Will have proved their love can get them through anything; until someone from Will’s past re-emerges, leaving Layken questioning the very foundation on which their relationship was built. Will is forced to face the ultimate challenge…how to prove his love for a girl who refuses to stop “carving pumpkins.”
FIVE FIVE FIVE!!!!! Reading Nicholas Sparks books have scarred me. I was almost extremely traumatized by what I thought might happen in this book, because of how his books have hurt me (he’s good, but he hurts my heart with his books). Thankfully, I was reading Colleen Hoover who always manages to make me happy after causing me to leak profusely from my eyes. This book was the perfect follow up to Slammed. I loved getting to read more of Will’s and Layken’s story. There were quite a few sad/shaky/terrifying parts in this book, and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I’m not sure if this is a spoiler, but Layken doesn’t get amnesia (see what I mean about Nicholas Sparks ruining me?!). That is all I will say about that. I love how they’re really just the perfect parents, especially considering their situation, and I love the family of friends that they’ve built. I wish I could read more about Eddie and Gavin, but I am so happy with what I got, and I loved every second of what was there for them. I have to start carving pumpkins about this book, or I’ll be giving it all away, but leave this review knowing the book is a butterflying good read.

Awesome! Amazing! Butterflying Good!!! I loved this book couldn't put it dowm til the end. The Slammed series by Colleen Hoover are ine of my favourites. Everyone should read it, it shows real life events and how you find love in really bad circumstances. Thank you Colleen!!

This second book in the slammed series was equally as compelling as the first! I loved that it was in Will’s POV. I love that it introduced new characters and brought in some of Will’s past. And I love their “family” and suck and sweet dinners! The twist had me on the edge of my seat! So many fantastic and honest moments, another fun read from CoHo!

Ugh this was way too cheesy for me and not particularly a good cheese. The plot of the series is super cliche and the characters aren’t that likable. Lake is annoying and Will is cringe. I despise the constant dramatic displays of affection Will keeps having to do to get Lake to realize he loves her. I don’t even know why this is a series. Could have ended with the first book honestly.
