Wherever you’re at in your journey, no matter how difficult things have been, or currently are, know that you deserve to experience peace and happiness in your identity, and you will! You deserve acceptance, respect, and to live life as your true self.

Pride month is just around the corner, and this book is a perfect read for all LGBT+ and allies alike!

The trans experience is such a unique and important experience to share. I am privileged to have access to books like this that break down all the personal details that go into transitioning. I especially appreciate the chapters on gender and body dysmorphia. Many can relate, even if only a little, to that feeling of not quite fitting in. The trans experience is valuable to all, and can pave the way for a world where gender is a spectrum and an expression, not rigid rules to follow.

It’s our responsibility to be as educated as possible to help support our fellow trans communities. This book is a great introduction to do just that.

I highly recommend it! Support trans voices!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this ARC.

Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks (Non-Fiction) for approving this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book is incredible!! It's a must-read for Trans Folks and Allies, filled to the brim with helpful information, lots of advice and community!

Being agender, I absolutely loved seeing the stories of the enby folks who contributed to this wonderful book (as well as all the other contributors' stories!)!

Thank you so much Jamie for putting together an extensive list of resources, as well as sharing a bit more of your story!

Suffice to say, I highly recommend checking out this book!!!

Jaime has a casual and humorous tone that makes the book feel really accessible while also not shying away from difficult topics.

This is a great overview book for people who are interested in knowing about the trans experience. The book has tidbits for trans folks as well as allies.

I think the book really shined in elevating the voices of the community by bringing in several perspectives. Jaime intentionally invited people with a variety of identities to add their perspectives into the book.

That being said, if you’ve spent much time in or around the trans community, this information may all be familiar to you. As someone who has been in the LGBT+ community for over 5 years and involved with the trans community for over 2, the only really new information for me was in the chapter on surgeries which had more details than I had heard before.

That’s not to say the book wasn’t good or helpful - I think it brought up important conversations and compiled a bunch of resources for further exploration.

This book really gives you an insight into what it means to be trans, and for us allies it gives us so many ways in which we can support. I follow Jamie and Shabba online and they're a lovely couple. Jamie's voice really comes through and I love that.

Very good! Encouraged me to live life fuller as a trans person. That's so beautiful. Trans joy just to see us doing well is amazing and powerful.
