2ème nouvelle que je lis d'Ali Hazelwood, et pour la 2ème fois, je ne suis pas convaincue, j'ai dû me forcer à la terminer. 2ème fois aussi que je me demande comment elle peut écrire un bouquin aussi génial que "The love hypothesis" et puis écrire ça derrière.
Je me suis ennuyée, j'ai détesté les flashbacks incessants qui viennent complètement casser le rythme du récit (un chapitre sur deux ici, pendant les 3 quarts de la nouvelle) et par-dessus tout, je déteste le trope du malentendu, et c'est tout ce qu'on trouve ici.
Je n'accroche non plus au cliché du mec fou amoureux au bout de 24h alors qu'il connaît à peine la nana ... Ni à cet archétype de l'héroïne qui digresse H24, ne fait que parler, parler dans le vide, encore et encore.
Je ne peux même pas dire que je suis déçue, car je n'en attendais rien, et je ne sais pas si je lirai la 3ème nouvelle ...

I listened to the audio while following along in physical copy ...
I really enjoyed the pace of this one and also enjoyed the span of weeks, instead of it just being extremely instalove.
The only thing I felt iffy about was the 3 weeks of them not talking was based on miscommunication ... and if you have been here for a while, my least favorite trope.
However, the author wrote it in a way that was not so dreadful to get through. So take it as you will.
*I also went ahead and read the bonus content in the hardcover after reading this one ... and I loved how their stories all connected through the eyes of the MMCs in the 3 books.
