I feel like murakami doesn’t write women like they are real people.
Also there is a very questionable portrail of a sexual relationship between an adult Woman and a thirteen year old girl in this book, where it is told like the MINOR seduced the fully grown Woman and she somehow had no Choice but to sleep with her & Like she (the adult woman) is the victim in this.
Maybe this gets picked up again and resolved diffrently later in the book, but from the way it was written up until the Point that I read it did not sit right with me. It Seemed like there was no awareness whatsoever.
