• Age Gap
• Step Uncle/ Step Niece
• Forbidden
• Christmas Novella
• Instalove
• Fast Burn

This book was short and spicy. The FMC is 19 and home from college for winter break and the MMC is 41(?), newly divorced, and visiting for the holidays.

It was okay. I liked the forbidden element and how they snuck around right under her mom and step dads noses. The FMC really REALLY came off as a teen. She didn’t understand why her mom couldn’t see that they loved each other. The things she said was definitely on par with her age and books with teens (especially ones who actually come off as a teen in the writing) aren’t my favorite. The instalove was extremely fast. When her Mom finds out about them one of the first things she says is, “you’ve only known him for 2 days.” and the FMC is like BUT I LOVE HIM Lmao I died.

If instalove and teenage FMCs who are written accurately are your cup of tea then check this book out.

The is a forbidden romance novella

Audrey and Grant meet over the Christmas holiday - Audrey’s mom and Grants step-brother are recently married and wanted the family together ….

And without giving too much away they can’t stand Christmas but they are the only ones that they tolerate and make the Christmas outings bearable

In this novella we have a forbidden attraction to someone you shouldn’t, age gap, insta love but I don’t know if I should say it like that because sometimes you can find your person after spending a few days and spending all your time with them to feel comfortable and seen after you’ve never felt that way or had that with anyone

Audrey's new step-uncle, Grant is the only person she can tolerate being around this Christmas. He treats her like an adult and tempts her like no other man has before.

Being together is forbidden, but it's Christmas, and Grant and Audrey are headed for the naughty list...

This one just didn’t work for me. It was fun and quick, but I felt like even for a novella it was rushed. I someone who usually doesn’t mind insta-love but it just didn’t vibe with me this time around.

Audrey’s mother recently got married and her husband’s step-brother is invited over for the holidays. Neither of them usually enjoy Christmas, but they end up confiding in each other, making the holiday season not so bad after all.

Insta Love usually isn’t my favorite, but since it was a very short novella, I wasn’t too bothered by it. Sara Cate is truly the queen of Age-Gap Romance. Grant really was the full package (not sure how his ex-wife fumbled that bag). I loved that he helped her gather the confidence to confront her harebrained mother without coming off as another adult in her life trying to tell her how to live it.
