I have to say, I didn’t know how this would turn out, but it was really good! I’m glad it ended the way it did too.

The ending and the last 4 hours of the book is fantastic but it took a long time for me to get gripped on the story line. Would recommend if you wanted something easy to read and guaranteed good ending.

The book follows Iris, whose life is turned upside down after a plane crash and everyone on board perished. Her husband, Will, was on that plane, and Iris wants to know why. Will wasn’t supposed to be on that plane and now Iris, grief stricken, sets out to find out how this all happened.
The book itself was pretty good, there were twists and turns I didn’t expect, but it didn’t keep me as engaged as most other books do. Sometimes I caught myself in a slump and wondering if I should just skip to the end. I do have to say the ending was fantastic and something you hope for when you want a clear resolution. Kimberly is a great writer, I will definitely be reading more of her works to give her another shot because the times I was pulled in, I was *IN* and no one could stop me.

OOOOOOOOOKAY! After the way this ended, holy smokes! What a way to end this book! And even though it was kind of a slow burn at times, it was the kind of slow burn that kept you going and wanting to find the answers. Anyway, without giving too much away, this was later on an intense story and I WAS going to give it 4 stars until the way this ended and decided to give it a solid 5 stars. And yet, a surprisingly good story/book on top of that. I'm now kind of wanting to maybe try another of Kimberly Belle books on audio on my Libby in the future, but we'll see. Right now, all I'll say for my first book of hers for me, this wasn't half bad.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I love that things started happening right away, not a crazy build up. It was an interesting book and I enjoyed it. But, it kind of fell flat for the further along it got. I honestly was thinking it was going to go in a different direction (one I think I would have liked more) and then just ended very quickly. I will say the very end was a nice touch and it saved the book for me.
