We finished reading this together this weekend while traveling to and from a wedding and a picnic. On to book 7 we travel.

I really enjoyed this one—dark, moody, and full of juicy backstory. The memories with young Voldemort were fascinating, and I loved the growing tension at Hogwarts. That ending still hits hard, even on a reread. The only reason it’s not 5 stars? A little too much YA teenage drama for me, and some pacing issues in the middle. Still a strong entry in the series.
