i just wish i couldve read the actual book, i feel like a lot of context was lost when listening to the english translation.
the musician character doesnt feel like a self insert despite jonghyun’s intentions and i really appreciate that.
the book made me think a lot about how feelings can fluctuate so much no matter who they are directed to. The last chapter really got to me, Kim Jonghyun the writer you are!

A story of a breakup, of longing, and of letting go. Beautifully written.
As always, I am impressed with your work, Jonghyun. Thank you.
"Tell me that your heart is the same as mine.
I want to exchange ‘I love you’s with you at length.
That’s right. I love you.
And to quote that poem you once read to me,
I need you."
I love you, Kim Jonghyun. You are my heart, my life, my everything. Thank you for all that you were able to give us; I cherish every single bit of it, for you have bared your soul and let us have a glimpse into who you truly are. Just being able to read your words is a gift unto itself, and it's because of you that I'm able to keep going. I love you. I miss you. You did well.
