2.5 stars. This one just didn’t do it for me. I’m sure a big part of it is due to what I feel is a misleading description of the book. This book was more about Roman Dial than it was about his son—and I didn’t particularly like the author as a person, as it turns out. Additionally, this is the second audiobook I've listened to narrated by Fred Sanders. His reading of quotations—particularly by children and non-native English speakers is excruciating.

Wow. This book was amazing. Gorgeously written and so heart wrenching. I listened to the audiobook but halfway through I realized that I was missing seeing photographs published in the print book. I rushed to the library to get a copy.

I know I will be thinking about this book for a long time.
