I really enjoyed this for about 80% of the book, but the ending put me off. It felt like the author didn’t really know how to tie things up and went for a more handwavey approach. But I liked the duology enough to continue with the series, so we’ll see what happens next!
I already didn’t like any characters or the setting and one of the love interests was making me very frustrated.

I definitely left too long between book one and two, but I still enjoyed this book quite a bit. The romance was my favorite part by far, with the plot coming at a pretty distant second. Would highly recommend this duology, though, to lovers of romantasy.

I guess this is the last to Oraya and Raihn, and it will switch to Mische for the 3rd and 4th book.
I like her character, and this should be a different series as Oraya and Raihn seem to be unfinished, but maybe it will tie in to Mische story.
But back to this book, Oraya and Raihn take some hits in this story and loved finding out more of Oraya mother side of family, but I wish that was also explored more.
