was okay, the story was sort of weird to me because i'm used to the stories being about the heroes. but apart from that, the story was pretty neat :)

Right so I liked this because I love this world, but please, PLEASE do not try to sell Styker to me as a sympathetic character.
I have always thought that the Daimons have a crap deal and their fight is justified to a certain extent but he killed his own son?! Like?! I’m sorry no.
This felt a little too exposition-y to me, like filling in gaps before the next proper instalment?
Everything was going to feel like a flop after Acheron’s gift of a book!
I still cried my eyes out in the graveyard scene - Nick owns my heart and always will.

I love to hate that there really are no bad guys, there is a decent side to every character, and do I ever have a crush on Nick!
Can't say this was my favourite romance but the final battle scene! Amazing!

El libro entra profundamente en otro objetivo, con nuevos personajes que te hacen engancharte a seguir con los próximos ejemplares. Sherrelyn nunca me decepciona LOL

So Stryker is a vengeful jerk and he found his perfect match in Zephyra his first wife (who he had abandoned a billion years ago when his father threatened them).
Sorry if Kenyon was trying to soften me towards him or her.
This book did nothing to make me like Stryker more - he still wants to destroy mankind for revenge/jealousy and he still wants to kill Acheron and Nick. Zephyra seemed to be a good person when she was human but she's become just as vengeful. She has good reason to be mad but blaming mankind for the actions of a few terrible people seems ridiculous. Hello APOLLO is the one to blame for most of these problems. Plus she keeps a guy chained up in basement and tortures him because he betrayed his kind a few thousand years ago.
Luckily the book was not very long, so I didn't have to deal with two characters I disliked too long. Plus there were important plot developments to keep me interested.
I loved the cameos of other characters and we learned new things about some of them. Nick seemed to soften a tad but he's still an idiot for blaming Acheron for his mother's death.
I liked Jared's slug demon, I hope we see him again sometime soon. and Simi as usual had the best lines in the book.

A scary twist at the end that may mean the Daimons get the upper hand on Dark Hunters.
Stryker and Zephyra.......
Stryker is a villain... this story made him no worse or better in my opinion, he still killed his son whether he regrets it or not, over something stupid... In my opinion... Hes forever on a mission against Acheron and risks everything he has for a daughter he has known all of 5 minutes, but wouldn't give his son the benefit of the doubt.... Zephyra is no better if she could love someone like this... plus she seems a little doolally...
Still an interesting turn of events in the second half

this is one of the best series, because it always follows a different character. for the past books, Ash has been the stable good guy with Stryker as his enemy. this book follows stryker and shows that he is just another victim of his father's horrible curse. we cannot hate stryker after this book, once you get to this point of the series you can pretty much see every side of the war being fought, you no longer can find a bad guy who is compleatly evil, (for the most part). it is really a very bold move for a writer to make the reader understand all of the character motives and not only understand but sympthise. even though the book is one of fiction set in a world of the ancient gods, it is easy to see a theme showing that no side of any argument or war is perfect and most sides are just as justified as the other

Much as I love Sherrilyn Kenyon, this really wasn't good. It read like it had been written (and edited) in a big hurry. A real let-down after Acheron, but those following the series should read it as there are some surprising developments in one of the main characters.
