"But what we excel at is anything but good. Self-destruction, disgust, disease, degradation, and indifference. That's where our talents truly lie. It's our default. And deep down we know this. We fear it."

Horror and nostalgia - two of my favourite things. And book mail for a third!
Thank you to Marcus Hawke for the ARC of Grey Noise for review.
I'm a big fan of Hawke's short story horror collection, Acts Of Violence, so I was thrilled to receive his newest novel.
Evan Grey has opened a retro VHS store called Rewind Video (and be 100% assured if this existed in real-life, I would go there for more than the donuts and bathroom).
En route to work, Evan finds the perfect addition to his shop - an old tube television on the street, complete with "free" sign taped on it.
The TV is a spectacular symbol of what once was, and what can take us over. And we are treated to what takes over Evan in a most evil fashion.
If you're a fan of horror, indie horror - any great and intriguing writing that hooks you, really - acquaint yourself with Grey Noise. And Marcus Hawke's other work. Recommended!
 For release on June 20.
