I really hope this gets a sequel one day...it feels cruel to leave it hanging with that ending.

The scope of this novel was too wide and melodramatic. With outlandish presidential assassinations to hostage situations crafted by a secret cult, I just could not imagine this plot.

I really enjoyed this book even though I called pretty much all the plot twists. Also, I was never super sold on the relationship between Tess and Henry so no loss there. There is something about Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ writing that keeps me coming back despite pretty predictable plot lines. I would read another book in this series if she ever wrote one.

The fact that there isn't a third book puts me in severe distress

Why do I keep picking scarring books? The thriller/action packed part was there, but I have no idea how Barnes could possibly top the trauma-rama of this one. I'll still sell this one, but probably won't personally continue with the series :(.
