One of few times I actually wish a book was longer.
Research was really well done. Narrator kept me engaged and wanting more. Learned so much about older TV classics that I didn’t know of. Would love to read more by this author!
Would recommend to readers of LGBTQ non-fiction, memoir and biography lovers, and folx who enjoy TV programs from the 80s & 90s.
(I received this audiobook ALC via NetGalley in return for an honest review. Thank you.)

An interesting companion piece to The Deviant’s War. For sure representation matters for marginalized groups, and can make a huge difference in debunking stereotypes and swaying public opinion. But bottom line: I watched so much TV as a kid, and most of it went right over my head.

I really enjoyed this one and learned a lot! The author shows how homosexuality has evolved in the modern sitcom (well, "modern" starting with Bewitched). While I've heard of and at least seen a handful of episodes from each of the TV shows discussed, I'm not a superfan of any of the shows. So that meant I had points of reference, which made this really digestible. The author struck a great balance of info with insight, and I came away with so much I learned!
