This one was pretty slow in comparison to the first, but still good. Quite interested to see how it all wraps up!

What a strong sequel that is making me anxious to pick up book three.

Shusterman is fast becoming my favorite YA author. I really love the way his mind works!

My full review is here on my personal website. I'll post a few excerpts here, though:

4.5 out of 5.0 stars

The very worst thing about this book is why Allie can skinjack. It’s not that it’s a bad plot point, or anything, it’s just really sad. :-(

The very best thing about this book is the reason skinjackers can skinjack. It’s genius! I won’t give it away, but it takes a sincerely twisted mind to come up with such an amazing detail. ^_^

was finally able to continue this series after thinking about it for 12 years. Absolutely love this collection and it will probably be in my top 3 forever. I have a feeling I know how the 3rd book will end, not sure if I can handle it. I wish it could go on forever. Definitely give this a read, second book was even better than the first.

Continuing the series didn't hold my interest but it wasn't necessarily because of the books themselves; they're probably great for their intended audience.  The age/maturity level of the characters are lower than I usually read and, while the first book was fun and interesting, I wasn't invested in the story enough to prioritize it over other books in my To Read queue.
