First of all, I would like to thank Filipa for making me want to read this book, because I was too scared of being hartbroken after the first part.

I had no idea that this was from Adam's point of view and not Mia's, it was a surprise! I really liked the ending because I wasn't expecting what happened to happen haha. I think I would've enjoyed this book a lot more if I had the chance to read through it in one go. I'm glad that Gayle wrote this follow up because I feel like all the questions have been answered now. Very happy with the ending :-)

this book was honestly so heartbreaking, and as a 12 year old gal i don't know why i put myself through it. it's 2020 now as i'm writing this and i'm still waiting on the movie version of this pahahaha how sad. honestly i loved this book, i remember i would read this every day before school started at around 8am, just outside our classroom back when i lived in tenerife in my purple leggings and red hair thinking i was the shit. all my spanish friends were like 'omg u cray' and tbh, they weren't wrong. 30 mins every morning, stood up reading this book. i would say it's one of my favourites from 2015 but then again i'm struggling to even remember what i did throughout the year. safe to say i only read like 4 books cause that was when my social life was peaking and yano books weren't 'cool' but honestly idc anymore. i mean i'm sat here writing this review for a reason. anyone can read it, anyone can bully me about it and uno what, i shall sit here and endure all the abuse.
anyways, HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is a fan of gayle forman cause she is just amazinnn. 'if i stay' was a heartbreaker and same with 'i was here' which i read in 2016. you will not regret reading ANY of her books, trust.

SO MUCH BETTER than the first one.
Still ridiculous and predictable, but a fun, easy read.

This book was interesting, while I enjoyed it much more than the first one I still had issues with it, and like the first one my biggest issues was the switching between past and present. For some reason it just rubs me the wrong way, and I get why it isn't in chronological order but I hate that. You have to struggle to put all the pieces together or you will be horribly confused in the flashbacks. I also didn't like the flashbacks in general, I found them boring and most of the time I was asking myself if it would be on to skip them. I did enjoy the storyline though, it and interesting and something I haven't really read before. I also liked that this was through Adams POV not Mia's. I don't really like Mia.

All in all I was pleased with how this book went, it was a nice conclusion to the series.
