A well-executed compilation that has a strong theme of reclaiming identity linking the stories together. Oyeyemi’s depiction of AI is a lot of fun.

However, a lot of these stories do adhere to the politics of Second Wave politics. Some writers, particularly Atwood, seem to make snide jabs at what they perceive to be “wokeism” under the guise of feminism which is disappointing.

Beautiful composition of stories, I cried and laughed. It’s rare that I like the majority of stories in collections like this but I really couldn’t fault any of them. Such a star group of authors involved also. I love being a woman and I love how other women make me feel with their words
