If you are a romance reader and have tried to explain to someone the difference between Romance and Erotic Romance, just have them read this book to understand how a well done Erotic Romance just works. This man is ripping off panties in the first chapter and they still HATE each other! The plot of this story is so tightly wound, no moment is wasted. And have I mentioned that it's hot AF?! Delicious. Drink this book: Enjoy with an ice cold Vermentino, it will cook you down when it gets so hot!
This one was just OK for me. It jumped right into sex, it felt like. Just wasn't what I was hoping for.
“For some sick reason, fighting with this woman always ended with her panties in my pocket.”
It has been many years since I read this book. Honestly deciding to reread it to start the year was a genius move on my part. The conference room scene has lived rent free in my head since I read it, and I literally can’t remember anything ever. I can’t wait to reread this whole series this year.

** 2.5 Rating
This one was tough to get through. I found myself struggling to keep going around the 40% mark. It almost went into my DNF shelf but I pushed myself to finish because I hate leaving a book midway, especially if a majority of my time was invested in it.
I will now share things that irked me during this read:
Not even 4% in and the alpha billionaire male(Bennett) is already making a move on his intern Chloe. Had I accidentally bought the first book? Or blanked out and skipped a couple of pages? I mean, where is the buildup? You really want me to believe Chloe would allow her boss to rip her panties off And take advantage of her in the conference room without a backstory?
Also, what is it with the constant underwear ripping. It’s sexy once, maybe twice but it went on for far too many times that as soon as Bennett’s grimy fingers went for Chloe’s waistband, I’d roll my eyes and skim past the ripping and storing them in his pocket part. And what kind of sick and disgusting person would store used panties in their office desk? That drawer must be *insert puking emoji*
There was too much sex for my liking. Surprising, I know. Maybe I’m moving past my Smut faze ?
Not enough story or character development.
It was just.. there.
And apparently this was the first Twilight fan-faction before 50 Shades of Grey was even a thing ??
So if Twilight fan faction is your thing then you might just enjoy this one.

I tried to force myself to at least get to the 10% mark of the book but Jesus Christ. Them going from "I hate everything about him" to "okay sure, I'll totally let him grope and fuck me after he made my entire day hell" gave me literary whiplash. I wasn't feeling their chemistry at all. Then he calls her a bitch (during his pow narration but still) several times over only a couple of pages and I was done. Just. No.
I love a good enemies to lovers story but neither one of them had any respect for the other and it moved so ridiculously fast that it was completely unbelievable. I quit at 8%.

Thin on plot, it was hard to care much about either the FMC or MMC. Overall a very quick read, lots of spice, snipping, and little plot.

I love CL but this was mostly just sex without any tension, chemistry, or basically any plot.
