I have to say I don’t really know what I was expecting when I decided to start the year reading all of Christina Lauren’s books after having read The Unhoneymooners and Josh and Hazels Guide to not Dating. But I have to say I was not expecting the amount of spice. It was a pleasant surprise. While I didn’t feel like there was much plot, I did enjoy reading Beautiful Bastard. It’s hot and sexy and Chloe and Bennett’s chemistry is steaming through the pages.
I really think my biggest issue was that there was really no story line set up in the beginning... it kind of just jumped into the 'relationship'. I'm not degrading it for originally being a fanfic, but I'm curious as to how it's legal to publish fanfic, even when you change names.
A highly recommended book that unlike so many others, DID NOT disappoint!
I was dubious during the first few chapters. The sex was piled on thick and so I worried that the book was going to be too much smut and not enough story. In the weakest sense, it was, but the sex was so good that I didn't care.
I loved Chloe. And that's a rarity. The lead lady tends to have me punching something at least once during her story but I never did with Chloe. Her reluctance was believable and not too much. She is feisty, sexual, successful and stands her ground. Everything I want in a central character.
And Bennett. Mr. Ryan Bennett. This man is arrogant, harsh, and bloody hot! He has the perfect amount of asshole to be worthy of my love. The ability to love him is down to understanding him and that would never have been possible if it weren't for the dual point of view.
The flipping of the POV, while good, can be a little annoying when much of it is repeated. I understand that the author is trying to show two sides of the same story but it was just a teeny bit repetitive when I had only just read it.
Overall, this book is sexy, funny and sweet. Don't read it if you are hoping to experience compelling drama or to have your thoughts provoked. On the other hand, if you want sassy characters and a great plot then READ THIS, if not for Bennett alone.

This book did not work for me. There are so many thing I found cringe worthy. I could not finish reading it!!!
Holy Mother of Hawtness!
"I wanted to slap him, and then pull him up by his shirt and lick his neck." Yep, that about sums up how Chloe feels about her own resident beautiful bastard boss. He's hot, he's mean, he's critical and he's a business genius that seems to mentor Chloe in a way that builds her confidence and causes her to believe she can handle the multi-million dollar deal that is unheard of for an intern to work on, much less be in charge of.
Does that seem confusing? The hot gorgeous boss is nasty to her at every turn, but he trusts her and challenges her? Ha! That's nothing compared to when he starts ripping off her panties every chance he gets in what seems like a little "letting off some steam" and turns into so much more. It's confusing, it's incredibly sexy and it's the best damn book!
I loved these characters because they were like rabbits, the challenged one another, they were sarcastic and funny. I can't wait for the next one!
This book is proof that women writes are awesome...but TWO!??! Whew, buckle up because they take you on a wild ride!
