it was ok, lots of drama, really felt like chloe was a bit over the top
There is literally no story line… no character development or creating a bond..
Reread for fun after I went to Christina Laurens event last month and wanted to read their OG stuff haha. They said their outline for this book was basically a list of places they have sex and it's hilarious bc they nailed the outline lol. You get more plot/substance at the end.
3.5 - okay the majority of this book is sex. And especially in the first half it's very hard to like either of the MCs bc they're just having sex in a lot of different places haha so all you get is their yelling at each other and then sex. Howeverrr somewhere in the second half, I started to love these two hard headed career driven individuals and they became much more developed and three dimensional. So overall, I enjoyed it!

It was surprising how different this book was from what they publish now but it still made me happy and sucked me in. It’s a classic office romance and honestly did everything I needed it to. Bravo brava!

I cannot lie this is a five star. I want to re read it all the time. So good.

Got as far as Chapter 3 and threw in the towel. I hated these people. Seriously. Hated. The hero treats the heroine (his employee) like dirt and by the end of Chapter 1 he's ripped off her panties, torn off her blouse and had his way with her on a conference room table. He hates her. She hates him. He's a jerk and naturally her "body" keeps "betraying her."
Oh and in Chapter 2 he bangs her in the office stairwell sans condom and her parting shot to him is "I'm on the Pill thanks for asking!" That's great cupcake. You won't be impregnated by the Beautiful Bastard. Better hope he didn't gift you with a flaming STD instead.
She gives as good as she gets - but since I didn't like her either that's not saying much. One positive? I find listening to romance on audio "difficult" but the narrator here (Grace Grant) was really quite good. I'd listen to something else she narrated. Just, you know, not this book. She couldn't save this one for me.

This book was very far fetched to me. I like a good smutty book with a good story line but this one was a little over the top. Every chapter. And it took away from the story for me.

Since I did not write a review when I originally read this, I'm doing it now.
Beautiful Bastard was either the first or the first Christina Lauren book I've ever read. As I've been reading more of their recent work, I can see their growth as writers.
Also, when I initially read this, I did not realize it was Twilight fanfiction. Now that I've decided to embark upon a re-read of the Beautiful series, I can see the parallels now.
I just noticed that I first read this almost exactly 2 years ago... wow

Really interesting tale that had my attention the whole time. The pace was wonderful and the characters engaging. Beautiful storytelling that kept me on the edge of my seat!
I can only attribute my mediocre stars to the fact I am so over millionaire boss stories.

Not my favorite. I felt like it was so long and drawn out. Ugh.
