Beautiful Bastard

3.5 AVERAGE

Honestly thoroughly enjoyed this. Yeah it's like 90% smut. Sue me.

A little too raunchy for my taste. I like Christina Lauren books that are slightly more tame and focus more on relationship and conflict resolution rather than jack rabbit sex for 75% of the book

Holy smutoli

Probably closer to 4-1/2 stars. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this was really good. Maybe the title threw me off. Maybe I expected him to be a bigger bastard (not that he wasn't one). I ended up with such a soft spot for Bennett. Their banter when they were arguing cracked me up. I loved that Chloe could totally handle Bennett and that she always seemed to keep him off kilter. I loved that she was so driven to succeed and didn't want to ride anyone's coattails to reach her goals. Or have the appearance of it either. They definitely had some explosive chemistry! I'm going to have to continue with this series. I know they're not all about Chloe and Bennett, but they will continue to pop up here and there.

I quit reading this at less than 5% when sexual harassment in the workplace took place between the “hero” and the heroine

Welll Ummm I like Christiania Lauren’s books so when I saw this at goodwill I grabbed it. I didn’t realize they had a whole smut series before their newer stuff. I mean it was good and smutty but not depth just a bunch of sec scenes so I guess I depends what you’re looking for

This is basically a book of two coworkers having a lot of work sex. It was hot, and it kept my attention, but looking back I feel like it was just an ok read. I honestly can’t remember anything about Chloe, she felt a little flat to me. I really enjoyed Bennett’s chapters though. Watching him change into a likable guy, along with those steamy sex scenes, made the book.

It could have been worse, I guess.
Just a silly, fun, head empty kind of book.

Lots of A--hole this, bastard that, pretty annoying how much those two words are repeated throughout the whole book.
For the life of me I couldn't tell you what makes Chloe or Bennett so "good" at their jobs, seems to me they were hardly working. You ever read something and know for a fact that the author don't know what the hell they are talking about, that's what this whole office job felt like.

Christina Lauren, I'm so happy at how much you've improved cause this is trash, but like a fun trash if you're into that kind of thing. Love and Other Words and The Unhoneymooners are so good. I'm happy those two books were my intro to them and not this.

4.5 stars - just shy of a 5 star rating. I enjoyed this book immensely. Bennett and Chloe have great chemistry and the dialogue was wonderfully written. Will definitely read more of the "beautiful" books.
