A whimsical and erudite novel with one of the most original and wittiest characters I’ve read in Mexican literature.

I love that the last chapter was in Vorgaine's voice and was very distinct from Highway because it felt like a proper ending of what was an odd book from the start

This review reflects my subjective view. I did not find this novel very enjoyable. The story is strange, the writing style is uncomfortable for me, I did not understand the point of any of it. If I had read the afterword before starting the book, I might have had a better understanding and greater connection to it than I did. I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading this, but would suggest that you read the afterword first.
