Couldn't stop listening to this audio book. I'm really loving the narrators for this series.
Bear was amazing in King and Tyrant. In Lawless, I still loved him but he did annoy me at times. I really loved Thia and I liked that she didn't take Bear's crap.
That cliffhanger...wait...what? How did...ugh, I will be listening to the next book tomorrow. So I will be finding out how this came to be.
Explanation for putting this on the 'hero-cheating' shelf. I really went back and forth on putting this on that shelf, technically yes, there was something that went into the cheating category but then the circumstance and the why made me really debate putting it on that shelf. So click the spoiler if you want to know...
Cannot wait till tomorrow when I start (and more than likely finish) Soulless!

Bear needs/wants to push Thia away to protect her. He pays a woman to give him a handjob and have Thia catch them. But he is very clearly NOT enjoying any part of it.Cannot wait till tomorrow when I start (and more than likely finish) Soulless!
Great story, such a well written book with amazingly complex and loveable characters

I expected nothing less from TM. Fantastic follow-up to King and Tyrant.

Lawless brings us the tale of everyone's favorite bearded biker, Bear, and Thia, a girl he owed a favor. Their story is violent, gritty, sexy, and mesmerizing. Like every other installment in the King series, this book was gripping from start to finish.
The story begins with a 21 year old Bear giving an armed little girl his ring for agreeing not to call the cops on his inebriated friend. After explaining that the ring comes with the promise of a favor, he leaves without giving her or his promise a second thought for the next seven years.
Thia's life has been anything but easy. After the death of her little brother, she is forced to grow up fast. When she isn't single handedly trying to save her family's orange grove, she is working at the Stop-N-Go where she met Bear all those years ago. Thia's grief stricken mother's increasing mental instability results in her father's murder followed by her own death. With her world crashing down around her, Thia can think of only one person to turn to for help.
Bear, busy drowning his sorrows in alcohol, drugs, and women, returns home after he receives a sobering call from Ray. Thia went to his former clubhouse looking for him, and was subsequently physically and sexually assaulted by his sorry excuse for a father, Chop. After being saved by his friend, she was delivered to King's house unconscious.
Not knowing whether Thia is really a victim or just a pawn sent to deceive him, Bear intends to do nothing more than question her and send her on her way. That begins to change from the moment he lays eyes on her. She's not a little girl anymore, and he can't deny his intense attraction to her. Soon, Thia is named the prime suspect in her parents' murder, and Bear is forced to keep her company longer than he originally planned.
Bear's life is in a state of turmoil. Not only is he dealing with the loss of his friend, but also the emotional scars from being brutally violated, burned, and tortured by Eli and his men. All of that was followed up by the loss of his MC and with it part of his identity. Leaving the Beach Bastards comes with a death sentence so he literally has to watch his back at every moment. The last thing he needs or want is to fall for a girl, but that is exactly what he does. Thia's life is just as big of a mess with not only the MC after her, but also the cops. What kind of future can they have together? Will they live to see another day? If they do, are they too broken to hold each other together?
I absolutely loved Bear in King's books so I was really excited to get more of him in Lawless. While I enjoyed this book, I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. One of the things I loved most about the previous books was how much they made me FEEL. I felt deeply for the characters, and I felt the emotion between them just as much. I didn't feel much more between Thia and Bear than sexual chemistry and desperation. Their relationship just wasn't developed enough for me to believe they were in love. Another issue I had was that I didn't like Bear as much in this book. That kind of broke my heart. I have a lot of faith in this author though. I'm hoping once I read Soulless and have the whole story, my opinon will change.
Aside from that, Lawless is packed with action, steam, suspense, and a few twists thrown in for good measure. The writing is so captivating that you will fly through it in no time, and be dying to get your hands on the next book. I loved that we got to see Ray, King, and Grace again. Those parts were highlights for me. Not to mention, Thia is a great addition to the cast of characters. She is strong, sassy, compassionate, and beautiful.
Despite any of the issues that I had with this book, I would still recommend it to anyone that has read the two prior books in this series. There is no doubt in my mind that you will enjoy it. I'm going to dive right into Soulless with high hopes! Wish me luck! :D

This was an okay read that ended in a cliffhanger. Considering that, I don't think I'm interested enough to read the continuation.
I love this series! The ending of this book left my jaw on the floor. It just keeps getting better and better! Bear and Thia are perfect for each other!
“Baby, I’m sorry,” he said dropping his forehead to mine in a rare moment of vulnerability. His voice was rough and shaky. “Help me. Please. I don’t know what I’m doing here.” “What are you trying to do?” I asked. He raised up, just enough to look me in the eye. “I’m trying to love you.” We were two tortured souls. Both in more ways than one person should ever have to experience.

First of all THANK YOU TM Frazier for the ARC of Lawless. Ever since I finished Tyrant I was dying to get my hands on Bear's story. I wanted him to find his HEA. King, Preppy and Bear are such amazing characters that I enjoy reading about. I loved that Preppy was present in this book, he is hands down one of my all time supporting characters.
"You were really mean to those whores and whores are like my favoritest people ever. Not cool, man. Not cool at all."
I loved the prologue. I enjoyed reading how Thia and Bear met, it was super cute. Thia was a firecracker and I just love her personality. When they met Bear made Thia a promise that if she ever was in trouble she could find him and ask for help and Thia never forgot about it. SO after the first REAL trouble she gets into she goes and tries to find Bear and finds herself in a very bad situation. Bear was kind of an asshole and didn't think he deserved to be loved. But Thia is headstrong and tells him that he can't tell her who she can or can't love.
"I don't want drugs. I want you to be my drug. Make me forget, Bear. Please. Take it all away."
It was great seeing King and Doe again, they are one of my favorite book couples and I would love for them to get another book or at least a novella! This book had a few twists especially at the end that I didn't see coming (TM is really good in doing that!). Now we have to wait for Soulless!!! OMG the Soulless excerpt at the end was SUPER intense, I don't know what to think but I do know that I need Soulless NOW!!! I need answers!!
Last but not least TM Frazier's writing was amazing like always. She never disappoints. Her unique plots and beautiful story telling keeps me hooked from the start till the end. She is one of the only authors whose books I'll read that end in cliffhangers. She kind of cured me of being afraid and made me appreciate them! I'll read anything she writes!
Lawless had so much action and heartache I almost couldn't stand it!
