Highly enjoyable and entertaining collection of short stories, with bonus recipes at the end. I really enjoyed The Truth is Stranger Than Fiction by Jenny Colgan, May Day by Philippa Gregory, The Crater by Richard Madeley and The Gospel According to Judas by John O’Farrell.

an enjoyable collection of short stories. Not the biggest fan on every single stories but others I really liked.

Each story is around 10 pages long so super quick to read

One of my favourite times of the year. Quick Reads publish their new titles! I have been reading the series for 4 years and will continue to do so. I never knew it has been 10 years!

Short stories:

The Other Half - Fanny Blake 3/5
I read Red for Revenge last year it was a good enough read, this short story finished in 10 pages. The plot was predictable.

Moment of Glory - Elizabeth Buchanan 3/5
I've never heard or read of Elizabeth Buchanan. Moment of Glory is historical fiction that kind of confused me?

Birthday Secrets - Rowan Coleman 3/5
I have yet to read Rowan Colemans We Are All Made of Stars (appealed to me whilst browsing social media) I literally went "YAY!" when her story appeared. The secrets were good but I guessed one. Overall I will be reading more of her work.

Truth is Stranger Than Fiction - Jenny Colgan 3/5
I read Jenny Colgan years ago, but it never appealed to me at the time. I was eager to see how her writing has changed. I enjoyed female character. That's it.

May Day- Philipa Gregory 3/5
Historical fiction - skim read- never heard of author before

A Walk Outside - Matt Haig 4/5
My favourite short story out of the collection. The book finished way too quickly, I wanted more. Mental health topic was written really well. I already have Reasons to Stay Alive on TBR. Will be reading more of Matt's work.

Love Me Tender - Veronica Henry
Skipped. Not for me.

The Promise - Andy McNab
Sounded like 'lad lit' to me. Skipped.

The Crater - Richard Meadley 2/5
Weird.

The Gospel According to Judas - John O' Farrell 3/5
Funny - will be reading more of his work.
