Expecting a typical romance novel, the book is much more than that. Catherine is a romance writer, planning to remarry after two failed marriages. Her daughter, Adeline, is not close to her mother or her half sister, Cassie, and struggles with spontaneity and feelings. Cassie has her own secrets, but is more open with her emotions. When both girls arrive in Corfu for the wedding, they are shocked to find out who Catherine is marrying. Slowly the past and its secrets are unpacked; I really enjoyed this one and read it in one day. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

The Island Villa is an absorbing summer read. It has family drama, secrets, and love all with an idyllic island setting.
The famous romance author Catherine Swift invites her two daughters to her house in Corfu for her fourth wedding. The two girls could not be more different. The oldest Adeline is not looking forward to the wedding, she is reserved, a realist, loves her routine, and firmly believes you should make all decisions with logic and your head not the heart or emotions. Where, Cassie is optimistic and all emotion and can't wait for a love story of her own. She is overjoyed for her mother never giving up on love. But neither of the girls knows the identity of the groom and when they meet him, they are both stunned; and the revelation leaves them both rattled and questioning what they thought they knew. The story follows each women as she learns to take a chance on love and happiness. They learn to trust themselves and what people will do to protect those the love. Old hurts start to heal and damaged relationships are reformed. A wonderfully heartwarming summer read.

wow trash. it sounded like a robot wrote this, and not just because of horrendous typos like “relation9ship” (yes seriously). The mother was a garbage human, the little sister was a naive baby, the father was a naive flat idiot, and the older sister was frustratingly mute when it came to sharing her feelings. And yet by the end, everything in this horribly dark book was wrapped up in a lovely bow with everyone falling in love and marrying their one true love.

This book had me feeling happy, sad, and every emotion in between. While it was definitely predictable at times, it was still entertaining and a pretty easy read. Overall, I loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a book that sparks hope.

Langdregin, innihaldslaus og bara hreint út sagt leiðinleg.

This was my first book by Sarah Morgan. I enjoyed that it was more about the family dynamics and relationships and the romance was a cherry on top.
