A graphic novel biography/autobiography. Learning what makes our parents the way they are today helps us to understand them today. Thi slowly learned of her parents' struggles in Vietnam. It helped her understand them to today and change their relationships.

I enjoy the graphic novel for this. It tells things that words cannot. So glad the Kalamazoo Reading Together program selected this book.
