I quite enjoyed this one of Maigret recounting a case where maybe there was a miscarriage of justice.

Probably my favorite of those I’ve read in the series so far. Also probably one I’d recommend to those new to the series to start with to get them hooked. Interesting psychological nuance paid in this one to maigret and his feelings about the dynamic between him and his boss And yet it also Reads breathlessly and thrillingly to the very last page. I also thought the framing device with maigret’s friend Pardon worked really well to set up and ultimately divulge maigret’s secret/regret.
